After being sawn we air dry the boards for at least six months (depending on the seasons), then kiln dry them down to 10% before machining them into floorboards. We pride ourselves on the high standard of machining. All flooring is tongued and grooved on four sides.
Rudy, who has spent a lifetime in timber, carefully selects all our timber, and oversees the whole process from forest to floor, ensuring that there are no shortcuts and that the oak reaches us in the best possible condition.
Taking around a year before it reaches us, the oak is air dried for at least six
months (depending on the season), then kiln dried down to 8-
